The Reno Air Racing Association is deeply saddened to announce that, due to ongoing concerns surrounding COVID-19, we are canceling the 2020 STIHL National Championship Air Races. Now more than ever we need your donations to keep the legacy alive.
We share in the disappointment many will feel, but the safety of our fans, pilots, staff, volunteers, sponsors and other partners has always been our top priority. And as much as we would love to see our air race family and celebrate as our incredible pilots take flight in September, nothing is more important than the well-being of our community.
With the return of the STIHL National Championship Air Races in 2021. We are determined to make next year’s event our biggest and best year yet, and you can help us achieve that goal. While the Air Races is a week-long event, the Reno Air Racing Association takes the entire year to prepare, and already we have expended a good portion of our budget. That, coupled with an 80 percent decrease in income since the COVID shutdown leaves us at a shortage as we shift our attention to the 2021 event.
We know these are tough times for all, but if you are able please consider donating to the Reno Air Racing Association by visiting airrace.org today, and help us preserve the legacy of the STIHL National Championship Air Races for generations to come.
